Pure organic shea butter in 100ml tin, vegan and plastic free
Properties of organic shea butter (controlled natural cosmetics):
Finigrana's organic shea butter (body butter) is particularly suitable for daily skin and body care due to its valuable ingredients. Shea butter is suitable for all skin types. Organic shea butter is particularly good for dry skin or children's skin which is prone to allergies. Here in Central Europe, shea butter has a firm consistency due to the climate, but it becomes soft at body temperature and is then easy to spread. If you add oil to the shea butter, this body butter becomes soft and smooth even when cool. The organic body butter can then be better applied and spread on the skin.
This body butter is also suitable for irritated skin, e.g. after sunbathing or if the lips are rough. Shea body butter is also very suitable for skin care during and after pregnancy. Shea butter is a particularly protective and natural care product for baby and child skin. Shea butter offers protection against dehydration due to its high content of unsaponifiable components. The organic shea butter, without additives, provides the skin with long-lasting moisture. Shea butter makes your skin smooth and supple. Shea butter stimulates cell renewal and is particularly caring and soothing for the skin.
Ingredients: 100% Shea butter (organic), INCI: Butyrospermum Parkii
Directions for Use:
Shea butter is particularly well absorbed by moist skin. Moisten your skin slightly or use the moisture of your skin directly after a shower or bath. With a body butter you can easily form an emulsion on your skin. Simply apply the Body Butter to your skin and then massage the Shea Butter thoroughly. Your body will thank you for it.
Healthy natural body care that does good through fair trade:
The organic shea butter comes from a social project of Hermann Schopferer from Burkina Faso in West Africa. Mr Schopferer has been committed to organic shea butter for many years. He knows Burkina Faso like the back of his hand and chose the southwest of the country as his location because of the high stock of shea trees. The harvest of shea nuts takes place once a year. Organic certification is also carried out once a year. The great thing is: The producer groups receive a fair price for their products. Furthermore, annual purchase quantities are guaranteed. This promotes the preservation of the village communities and social cohesion (fair trade).
After harvesting, the shea nuts are dried, shelled, heated and then hand pounded with mortars. The resulting mass is diluted with water and "beaten" for one hour until the shea butter can be skimmed off and bottled for further use. Through this activity, the women from Burkina Faso involved ensure that they have a solid basic supply they can rely on. They can thus provide for themselves and their families and enable their children to go to school. Financial independence is also important for their self-confidence and status in society.
The shea butter is filled by hand (100% organic and vegan) in the FINigrana organic factory.
This organic shea butter is deodorised. In this process the vegetable oil is treated with steam to remove unwanted substances such as flavours and colourings. This process has the effect that the deodorised oil is low in odour and taste. Deodorising is a particularly gentle process. Therefore, no chemicals have to be used and it works purely physically. This means that deodorisation is also permitted for organic oils.
The shea butter (body butter, " Beurre de Karité") is obtained from the fruit kernels of the African shea tree in elaborate manual work. Traditionally this is a "women's work" and so this high quality body butter is also called the "gold of women".
The Shea Tree
The shea tree grows to a height of only ten to fifteen metres. It is native to Burkina Faso, Nigeria etc. Only after 18 years do shea trees begin to blossom and then produce plum-like, brownish fruits for almost 100 years. The fruits have nuts as fruit kernels. These shea nuts have a fat content of up to 50%. The high-quality ingredients make the shea tree a source of wonderful natural cosmetics.
