Definitely and old rug. The embroidery went partly off for some patterns. The rug bares some sign that it got washed on some extremity. As it must have been damaged, the fringes got cut shorter. The whole carpet is quite supple. Patterns are essentially made of squares and triangles as this is the tradition for Baluch Herati rugs. A classic rug.
