Tallit, the name of the amulet, stands for crescent in one of the Tuareg languages.

In the center of the piece one can see the hand of Fatima with snake traces in the sand and sand dunes on the side.

The triangles on the side show the main Tuareg caravan trading routes in Niger from Agadez, to Zender and finally to Bilma.
